What are retrofit services for generators?

Retrofit services involve upgrading older generators with new controls or components to enhance performance and extend their lifespan without replacing the entire unit.

Why would I need a generator retrofit?

If your generator's controller is outdated or unavailable, a retrofit can resolve issues like loss of functionality, communication problems, and risk of electrical damage due to outdated controls.

What types of controllers do you use in your retrofit services?

Power Field Services uses high-quality digital controllers from reputable brands like Basler, Deep Sea, and Controls Inc to ensure reliable upgrades.

What are the benefits of retrofitting a generator compared to buying a new one?

Retrofitting is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new generator, especially when replacement costs can reach into hundreds of thousands. It provides modern functionalities to your existing setup.

How long has Power Field Services been providing generator retrofit services?

We have been committed to providing generator retrofit services since 1986, offering reliable and professional upgrades throughout Houston.

Can every generator be retrofitted?

While many generators can be retrofitted, a site assessment is necessary to determine compatibility and the most suitable upgrade options.

Do retrofit services come with a guarantee?

Yes, Power Field Services offers a retrofit guarantee, ensuring quality and reliability of all upgraded systems.

What risk does an outdated controller pose?

An outdated controller can lose operational memory, leading to incorrect voltage outputs which may damage connected equipment or pose safety hazards.
